A moisture membrane is a vapor-reduction layer installed directly on the concrete before the flooring system. We use PUR-VRM-EXT, a 100% solids, two-component epoxy that meets ASTM F3010 requirements for vapor permeance when applied at 18 mils. It forms a seamless, impermeable barrier that controls moisture vapor emission from new and existing slabs — the most common cause of blistering and delamination in South Florida, where high groundwater and humidity keep slabs damp. It contains no solvents and can be installed in occupied facilities.
